Time moves on...

Well, another few weeks have zoomed by.

To escape the cabin fever we sometimes get from being home-bodies all the time, we take Jory down to the bay for a walk every now and then. She seems to like it most days, as long as the wind isn't too cold. It is still winter time, even though the weather is consistently above 70 degrees. However, down near the water, the wind can get pretty cold as it blows in from over the bay, especially when the sun is behind a cloud.

Jory is eating some cereals now. She still fights it when we try to give her a bottle, but we are hopeful that she'll take to a bottle soon. The battle is exhausting.

We've also picked up some new toys for her too. Her favorite right now is her bouncer. When I was a baby, they didn't have toys like this for us to play with. Kids these days are spoiled... Oh no! I'm beginning to sound like my parents! Oh wait, I -am- a parent. Sometimes I lose sight of classifying myself as such.

Uncle H came down on a weekend pass to visit. We had a great time. Jory really loves play time with Uncle H. She thinks he's silly. Uncle H really loves her, too. He's great with her too.

Not a whole lot else to report for now. I hope you all enjoy the pictures. Also, remember you can click on each picture and it *should* enlarge it when you do.

Ps: If you are a regular visitor to the site, please email me at byron1774@hotmail.com and let me know. I hope to put a blog mailer list together so that I can email everyone on the days that I post new content.

Thanks for stopping by!

Crazy Texans

"Texan Day" was celebrated this past weekend... but don't try to find it in a calendar. We just sort of declared it, and cooked out.

The bib says it all.

Bouncer fun!

We got Jory a new bouncer... and she loves it!

Routine? Hardly.

Update:

December came and went.. as did January too. Another year older.

January has really been the most hectic month of our lives so far out here in California. For starters, we found ourselves recovering from the holidays. It was so great having all of our family come out to visit and meet Jory. It's quite a blur, really. Looking back now, the past three months just seem to meld together into one long month.

After all of our friends and family had bid us farewell a while, we tried to slip back into a slower pace and set a pace for Jory to get used to. Baby's need a routine for sure. So, our routine begins, and January finds us on the receiving end of some distressing news concerning the Navy and our situation out here. Time will tell how that all plays out. There was some other situational events which were somewhat stressful as well, but we took them in stride too.

After my Birthday, we had to fly back East to be with my family when my Grandfather passed away. Many of the pictures below are snapshots of our moment back home during this time. It was hard, to say the least, but being around our family made it easier for everyone.

Some of the other pictures below are from various moments around Christmas or New Years.

It's February now... my computer is rebuilt [that was an adventure in itself] and we're back online once more. The weather is warming up and Jory is getting more active. We're sure to be taking more trips outdoors and down to the beach here-and-there.

At any rate, I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we do.
